United 2 - Blackburn 0

Now, that was vintage Cristiano and Co. I was a little concern before the game to tell you the truth, since Blackburn form against the big teams. But we managed to gave efficient display and saw them off, quite comfortably. Ronaldo was excellent in this game, instead of doing tricks, he pass the ball quicker, and use a more direct approach. This is like him last season. Occasionally the tricks, but more of the end product. Looks like England will miss Wayne more than United gonna miss him. Overall the defence was solid and Hargreaves and Anderson are seem to be getting along each passing game. Whew! SAF sure have a selections headache, once all of our central midfield are fit. We have so much player who can play in that position. Even O'Shea can do a very good job there. Evra is the most consistent performer so far, seeing him going up and down on the left wing was a joy. But, it concerns me, that we do not have a natural cover for him. If he's injured, we will have trouble. But at the moment, O'Shea can slot there as well. But i reckon, we buy someone as a leftback in the January transfer window. We can surely leapfrog Arsenal if we maintain the current form.

Arsenal 2 - United 2

Another last minute goal concede at the Emirates! I'm so disappointed. If before the game, somebody tell me, were gonna draw, i would probably be satisfied. But to concede the win with the manner we concede is really irritating. The Gooners celebrated like they've won the title. The match itself, truly live up to the hype. Arsenal control most of the possession, but we were very dangerous when we break. Fergie have won the tactic battle with Wenger on this game, in my mind. Also very impressed with Anderson who work were very solid in midfield alongside Hargreaves. The Gooners didn't create that many chances, and their goals was more because of our own sloppy play, and surrender possession away easily. But its still a long way to go. KI think we still have the edge over Arsenal, especially in terms of experience. It won't be long till we are on top of the table again.

United 4 - Boro 1

Wow, four goals in four games. Do you guys think we can make it five in a row? Well, who nows. Back to the game, Wayne and Tevez was absolutely outstanding. Like i said in my earlier post, these two are starting to get an understanding. AND BOY, DID THEY LINK UP TO PERFECTION FOR THE THIRD GOAL. Our young guns, Anderson and Nani were again immense. They really starting to settle down and gel with the seniors, and their work rate is fantastic. Hargreaves in just his fourth game for us, seem like his been playing for years at United. Overall the lads gave a terrific performance, just not satisfy with Rio lack of movement for Aliadire's equalizer.
The first goal was an absolute screamer. Nani really seem to build a reputation for scoring of great goals - remember his thunderbolt against Spurs. For the second goal, Nani's the one who poke the ball from Downing, and Wayne just can't stop scoring at the moment. The third, well, what can i say, worthy for goal of the week, or even the month - if Nani's screamer doesn't get the accolade of course. Glad to see Tevez scoring a brace, really good for his confidence. The only thing that worries me is Ronaldo. He was ineffective if not awful. He seems to be using his pace more than his head. Let's hope, that is just one of those days.
Next week, the big one. Two of the most entertaining team pit against each other. Let's hope that match will be an open game and a very entertaining one, and of course United will end up victorious.

Dynamo Kiev 2 - United 4

Another 3 points that bring us closer to the knock out phase. Wayne continue his scoring streak and Cristiano got a brace on his return to the starting 11, and Rio, on the second game running, scores. Great performance in the 1st half, classic counter attacking play. We were very comfortable for long period in the match, but then it started to get doggy. We were very profligate in front of goals, try to make things complex. We could have won by 7 - 8 goals if we were more clinical. At the back, we were very disorganized and often lost concentration. Really poor defending for both of Kiev goals. Bad news, we lost Scholesy and Evra. Not sure how long they will be out, but hopefully both can recover before the Arsenal game. Hopefully we can improve on the next game.

Villa 1 - United 4

Fergie said this is the best performance of the season. Well, i could see why, to make a comeback like that after being a goal down, against a very determine Villa side, certainly worth the credit. Before the game, i thought this would be a potential slip, since Villa were on fire at home this season - ask Chlesea, and most of our player were on international duty. Thought we have a very good record at Villa park, this young Villa side under O'Neill is different. They did strike first with a well taken goal from Agbonglahor, to wreck our clean sheet record of 611 minutes. But their defensive lapses has cost them dearly, for both of Wayne's goals. Really please to see the United's number 10 manage to put his England misery behind and put up a good performance - the penalty miss being the only negative. His strike partner, Tevez, gave an equally effective performance. The two of them seem to be getting along on the same wavelength with each passing match. I have a strong feeling that this partnership will workout, although i'll be the first to admit that me myself are it because the two of them are so similar. If it really work out, it'll be the end for Saha i'm afraid. Glad to see Rio to get on the score sheet as well.Scholesy had another influential game in the heart of midfield, Giggsy can still did a job in my eye. With the youg ones like Nani and Anderson are starting to settle, this team would be force to reckon ones everything took places. Remember, we still got a number of first team player injured. Now it's back to the Champions League.

United 4 - Wigan 0

At last, free scoring United are back. For so long we are stuck at first or second gear, very please to see we hit the higher gear - but surely this is not our top form yet. We still have almost 11 first team player out injured. Back to the game, well first have, a bit dodgy, but we were rob off Vidic and O'Shea just when we were starting to get some momentum. But what a performance by the lads at 2nd half. Anderson really remind me of young Scholes, great vision, great pass, Fergie surely capture a real gem here. Pique and Simpson impresses as well. Pique with the pass to Rooney for the third goal, and Simpson, an exquisite cross for Rooney's first goal of the season. Thought the Tevez and Rooney partnership, is not going on that well, but individually, both of them can carve something out of nothing. Talking about Tevez, not just his skills amazes me, but his work rate was fantastic - never seem to stop running and make life hard for the opposition defenders. Darn, just when we are starting to get the mood to 'murder' teams, comes the international break. Just hope that we can continue this performance after the international break, not to mention no more injuries problem to our squad. If we can keep this form, it will be very interesting match against The Gooners. Let's hope that will be a spectacle.

Middle Crisis

"Michael Carrick has been ruled out for
up to six weeks after fracturing his elbow
during the Champions League game
against AS Roma on Tuesday."

Not a welcoming news for every Red Devil's. It couldn't come at a much worse time, since Hargreaves and Fletcher is already out. We do have other options to partner Scholesy, Giggs and Anderson or even Wayne and Tevez to certain extent. But neither of them is a tackler. Fortunately O'Shea is fit again, and he can certainly do a job in the middle of the park. Some might not agree with me, but i don't see anyone else that is suitable to play the 'anchor' role. For me, he is always a reliable player, when call upon and will give 100% for the team. Hopefully, if he plays, he can get the job done and help the team to win.
Red Devils to roar!!
